Actress Mercy Aigbe has joined her husband, filmmaker Kazim Adeoti, in celebrating his son, Jamal, from his first wife, Funsho Adeoti, as the teenager graduates from high school and gains admission into the University of North Dakota.

Kazim shared the proud moment on Instagram on Monday, expressing joy over Jamal’s academic milestone.

“Beaming with pride on your high school graduation and the admission into the university!

“My beloved son, Jamalullah Adejuwon, as you graduate from high school and gain admission into the university, I want you to know how much I believe in you.

“You’re indeed capable of achieving anything you set your mind to. I’m beyond proud of the young man you’ve become, and I am here to cheer and support you every step of the way.

“Congratulations to you once again, son. Your achievements are a reflection of your hard work, and I know you’ll achieve greater things as you continue to grow Insha Allah.

“Papa loves you, buddy ❤️”

Joining him in the comments, Mercy wrote: “Congratulations, Jamal.”

The actress’ gesture didn’t come as a surprise to many. Back in 2022, she also joined Kazim in celebrating Jamal’s birthday.

Mercy Aigbe made headlines that same year when she publicly confirmed her relationship with Kazim Adeoti, a married man with four children.

Despite intense backlash, the couple’s bond has continued to grow stronger. Mercy converted to Islam after the marriage and now goes by the name Hajia Minnah.

In an interview, she revealed that her decision to embrace Islam was driven by the love she shares with Kazim, calling him her friend and soulmate.

Kazim Adeoti married his first wife Funsho Adeoti in 2002.

They have four children together—three daughters and Jamal (also known as Atanda), who was born in 2007.

Despite the tension surrounding Kazim’s second marriage, he and Funsho have remained committed to co-parenting their children in a respectful manner.
