Made Kuti recovers Instagram account after hacking incident

Made Kuti, son of Afrobeat singer Femi Anikulapo-Kuti, has recovered his Instagram account two days after it was hacked.

The 25-year-old shared pictures to show he has regained control of his page on Thursday.

He said those that hacked his account should hack a politician account for a greater good and not innocent citizens.

“MY IG ACCOUNT WAS HACKED!! A page I’ve devoted to music, family, thought, and politics. The hacker couldn’t find a better or more suitable account to override than one I’m trying to devote to progress.

“BUT!! The UPSIDE to this for me was the unending amount of concern so many of you showed for it! Some of you even went as far as chatting with the hacker 😂. From the bottom of my heart, I truly appreciate all the messages, calls, posts, reports, tweets, etc. I didn’t realise how many people cared about it until now,” he wrote.

Made had in a tweet announced that his Instagram account was hacked on December 22.

He said, “My IG has been hacked (@madekuti) Trying to recover it so ignore the last couple of posts.”

Made’s Instagram account was taken over by a man named Fred Binomo has been advertising an investment scheme known to be a scam.

He is a product of Femi Kuti’s relationship with Funke. In December 2018, he graduated from London’s Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance, the same institution attended by his grandfather Fela Anikulapo-Kuti in the 1960s.
