Mompha reactivates Instagram account

Social media celebrity, Ismaila Mustapha, popularly known as Mompha, has reactivated his Instagram account following the N100 million bail granted him.

The self-acclaimed king of Nigerian bureau de change was granted bail on November 29 by Justice Mohammed Liman of a Federal High Court in Lagos after he was arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

He was ordered to deposit his international passport with the Deputy Chief Registrar of the court and report at the EFCC office fortnightly.

Qed.ng observed on Thursday that Mompha was back on Instagram after a search produced needed result.

It was, however, observed that he had deleted all posts on his Instagram feed.

Mompha disappeared from Instagram days after his arrest on October 19 at Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja.

He was arraigned on 14 counts bordering on fraud, money laundering and running a foreign exchange business without the authorisation of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).
