Like Fashola and Ambode, Sanwo-Olu celebrates birthday in June

Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu is the third consecutive Lagos governor born in June, Qed.ng has observed.

Mr Sanwo-Olu turned 54 on Tuesday (today).

His two predecessors also remarkably celebrate their birthdays in June.

Babatunde Fashola, a former minister of works, power and housing, who was governor of the state between 2007 and 2015, also celebrates his birthday on June 28. He will be 56 this year.

Akinwunmi Ambode, who was governor for a single term after succeeding Mr Fashola, turned 56 on June 14.

In celebrating his birthday, Sanwo-Olu said birthdays remind us of the importance of cherishing moments and taking opportunities.

He also said the last 365 days had been ‘extremely special’.

“Birthdays are a reminder of the importance of cherishing moments and taking opportunities.

“The last 365 days have been extremely special and I am thankful to God for grace, friends, family, love and Lagos,” Sanwo-Olu wrote on Twitter.

Lagosians can only hope that the month of June, which has seemingly become the lucky charm for Lagos governors in recent times, also brings them good luck.
