Lady Gaga bags first Golden Globe nomination

Pop singer, Lady Gaga, is used to getting Grammy nominations but the Golden Globes is a first for her.

The 29-year-old has been nominated in the Best Actress in a Limited-Series or TV Movie category for her role in American Horror Story: Hotel.

An excited gaga took to Twitter to share her feat. “I apologize to my neighbors I’m still screaming in my apt in NY! I’m nominated as an actress for a Golden Globe what a dream is this real!” she wrote.

Also in the category are Kirsten Dunst, Sarah Hay, Felicity Huffman and Queen Latifah.

Empire’s Taraji. P. Henson is also nominated in the  Best Actress in a TV Series, Drama category alongside Outlander’s Caitriona Balfe , How to Get Away With Murder’s Viola Davis, Penny Dreadful’s Eva Green and House of Cards’ Robin Wright.

Nigerian- American actress, Uzo Aduba, might also go home with a gold placard as she earns a nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Series, Limited-Series or TV Movie category.

The nominees for the 73rd Annual Golden Globe Awards were announced on Thursday by Angela Bassett, America Ferrera, Chloe Grace Moretz and Dennis Quaid at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, USA. Miss Golden Globe, Corinne Foxx, Hollywood Foreign Press Association president, Lorenzo Soria and executive vice president of television at Dick Clark Productions, Barry Adelman, also joined them for the announcement.

Scheduled to hold on Sunday, January 10, 2016, the awards show will be hosted by Ricky Gervais.
