Hafia Bello, the second wife of Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, was Friday delivered of twin baby boys in a private hospital in Abuja.
A statement by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Media and Strategy, Mr. Abdulkarim Abdulmalik, said the children and the mother are in sound health.
The statement further stated that the governor received the news with joy with just over a month into his administration.
Bello was sworn in as governor on January 27, 2016.
His mandate came about after he was substituted for Abubakar Audu who died of a heart attack shortly after the Kogi governorship election of November 21, 2015 was declared inconclusive.
The 40-year-old is the first Kogi governor to be blessed with twin babies while in office.
His first wife is Amina Oyiza Bello.
