#JusticeforJemima: Killer of Jos ladies won’t go free – Keyamo

Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Festus Keyamo, has reached out to Othniel Anselm, a software developer, whose sister was reportedly killed by a drunk driver in Jos, Plateau State.

Mr Othniel had narrated the incident on Twitter on Wednesday evening.

He said his sister Jemima was on her way to church on October 20 with friend, Jennifer, when the incident occurred.

According to him, the police are working on granting the suspect bail.

In a tweet on Thursday, Mr Keyamo assured that the suspect would not go unpunished.

He added that he would personally bring the matter to authorities in Plateau State.

 “Deep and sincere condolences. Their killer will not go scot-free, I assure you. I will personally bring this to the attention of the authorities in Plateau State, especially the Ministry of Justice, follow up the matter and ensure you get justice,” Keyamo wrote.

The killing has sparked outrage on social media with Nigerians pressing for the prosecution of the driver.
