Kemi Afolabi prays for long life as she mourns Sisi Quadri, Mr Ibu

Actress Kemi Afolabi has prayed for a long life while mourning her colleagues Sisi Quadri, Mr Ibu and others who have passed on.

Sisi Quadri died on Friday, March 1 at the Ladoke Akintola University Teaching Hospital in Ogbomoso (LAUTECH) and was buried in his hometown, Agbowo area of Iwo, Osun State, according to Islamic rites.

Mr Ibu whose real name is John Okafor, died on Saturday at Evercare Hospital in Lagos State after a protracted battle with illness, 24 hours after Quadri.

The 63-year-old had battled health issues that led to multiple surgeries and the amputation of his leg.

Reacting to the tragic news in an Instagram story on Monday night, Kemi posted her photo, declaring that she will not die young.

She wrote: “I will not die young. Living long Insha Allah.RIP to the departed souls.”

Qed. ng on March 11 2022, reported that Kemi Afolabi revealed she was diagnosed with lupus during an interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo. The actress also pointed out that her doctor said she has just five years to live.

Following the revelation, several celebrities like Funke Akindele, Toyin Abraham, Mercy Aigbe, Yomi Fabiyi, Jaiye Kuti and Day Amusa launched a fundraiser for the actress.

Kemi has undergone several treatments since her diagnosis.
