Kannywood actor Aminu Bono buried in Kano

Kannywood actor and filmmaker Aminu Surajo Bono has been buried in Kano.

Aminu was buried on Tuesday, November 21 after collapsing on Monday evening.

The funeral was attended by friends, families and colleagues of the deceased including Muslim clerics.

Prayers were said for the late actor before his body was finally laid to rest.

His colleague Yakubu Mohammed shared videos from the funeral service on his Instagram account.

“May God rest your soul in peace Aminu,” he captioned one of the videos.

Another actor Uzee Usman reacted in the comment section of the post saying, “This is heartbreaking, am really pained Allah ya masa RAHAMA.”

“May God forgive you Aminu RIP RIJF,” Yakubu captioned the second video he posted.

On Tuesday, the national chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Abdullahi Umae Ganduje in a statement said Aminu’s death is a big blow to the entertainment industry.

Ganduje maintained that the late film director’s life on stage and off stage boosted the confidence of those who had contrary views of the industry.

“l must admit that Aminu Surajo Bono’s exit has created a gap in the entertainment industry, and this is a reality we must contend with years ahead,” he added.

Kannywood actor Aminu Bono is dead

Born in Kano, Bono made his Kannywood debut with the 2017 film Agola.

He has produced several others including Manyan Mata, Dan Gwamna, Nasamo Me Kahina, Alaga and Daukaka.
