Fuji musician Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, popularly known as K1 de Ultimate, has ‘denied’ having an affair with socialite Folake Ibile and sister of Mariam Anako, who is the first of the six wives Ooni of Ife Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi married in 2022.
The affair was debunked in a statement signed by K1’s publicist Kunle Rasheed on Tuesday after an anonymous blogger alleged that the musician was involved in a romantic relationship with Folake, Ooni’s sister-in-law and his chef.
However, in the statement, K1 described the claim as a fabricated and baseless rumour orchestrated by those seeking to create chaos.
The statement tagged “K1 DENIES AFFAIR/RELATIONSHIP WITH ANY SOCIETY LADY AND CONFIRMS THAT HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH HIS BEAUTIFUL WIFE, EMMANUELLA, REMAINS INTACT” reads: “False rumors maliciously targeting K1’s relationship with his beloved wife, Emmanuella, have been circulated by blogs.
“This fabricated statement is entirely baseless and orchestrated by those seeking to create chaos.
“The clarification was contained in a statement, signed by K1’s publicist, Kunle Rasheed. First and foremost, K1 is not involved in a relationship or affair with any society woman.
“Furthermore, there is no truth to the claim of K1 being in a relationship with a female chef; such allegations are unfounded and purely fictional, as he does not even have and has never had a female chef.
“Additionally, the assertion regarding Folake Ibile’s marital status with K1 is utterly false. They simply share a coincidental surname, and Folake Ibile is happily married to another individual.
“Lastly, the notion of K1 dating Mariam Aneko’s sister is entirely fabricated and lacks any substance. Let it be clear: K1 and his wife enjoy a strong and harmonious marriage, untouched by the lies and rumors spread by malicious sources.
“They are deeply devoted to each other, and any insinuation of discord is completely unfounded. K1 turned 67 on the 3rd of March 2024 and he and his stunning wife shared the day together in love and harmony in a low key ceremony.”
This is not the first time a rumour that K1’s marriage to Emmanuella is in trouble has surfaced.
The rumour followed K1’s rejection of a kiss from his wife during his surprise birthday party organised by Emmanuella on March 3, 2023, at Radisson Blu Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Although the couple in a statement signed by Kunle Rasheed said the rumour of trouble in the singer’s marriage was fabricated by haters, many continued to speculate that the duo is still having marital problems.
Also known as KWAM 1, the singer tied the knot with Emmanuella at a ceremony in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital on Thursday, November 18, 2021.
