Justice has been served, Kate Henshaw rejoices over Dr Femi Olalaye’s rape conviction

Actress Kate Henshaw could not hold back her excitement on Tuesday after a Special Offences and Domestic Violence Court in Ikeja, Lagos sentenced the medical director of Optimal Cancer Care Foundation Dr Femi Olaleye to life imprisonment for defiling his wife’s 15-year-old niece.

Olaleye was found guilty on Tuesday of the offence of defilement and sexual penetration.

Justice Rahman Oshodi said all the evidence before the court corroborated that of the victim.

Speaking to the press at the court, Kate said the doctor’s conviction is a day she will forever remember. She also claimed the doctor tried to bribe the victim and her aunt before the verdict and he was reported.

The actress also expressed gratitude to everyone who supported the girl during the trial.

Still in a celebratory mood, the 52-year-old shared a video on Instagram, showering praises on the judge for finding the accused guilty. She described Justice Rahman as an incorruptible judge and one who is very detailed.

In a post titled ‘Justice has been served’, Kate wrote: “FEMI OLALEYE THE SERIAL R@PIST/ ABUSER HAS BEEN FOUND GUILTY AND GIVEN 2 LIFE SENTENCES TO RUN CONCURRENTLY!!! NEVER EVER BE ASHAMED TO SPEAK OUT, YOU DID NOTHING WRONG.”
