Gunmen set Uzodimma’s country home on fire, kill security aides

Gunmen on Saturday morning stormed the country home of Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma and set it on fire.

Two security men on duty were killed in the attack at the governor’s house in Omuma, Oru East Local Government Area of the state.

It was gathered that cars parked inside the compound were also caught in the fire.

Imo commissioner for information and strategy Declan Emelumba confirmed the attack.

“It is true, but the information is not still clear. It is not true that several security men lost their lives. About two security men on duty at the governor’s house were killed. One NSCDC personnel was among the security men who lost their lives during the attack,” he said.
