President Muhammadu Buhari is scheduled to address the country tonight at 8 pm as the 14-day extended lockdown expires on Monday night.

Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina, stated this in a statement on Monday afternoon.

“President Muhammadu Buhari will address the nation Monday, April 27, 2020 at 8pm.

“Television, radio and other electronic media stations are enjoined to hook up to the network services of the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA) and Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN) respectively for the broadcast,” the statement said.

The President had in his previous two broadcasts imposed and extended lockdowns in Lagos, Ogun and the Federal Capital Territory to curb the spread of the coronavirus pandemic.
