Junior Pope: Adanma Luke should have made provision for life jackets – Hilda Dokubo

Actress Hilda Dokubo has said that movie producer Adanma Luke should have made provision for life jackets following the boat accident that killed Junior Pope and others.

Junior Pope was confirmed dead on the night of April 10 after several attempts to resuscitate him failed. The actor alongside make-up artist Abigail Frederick, and the production crew; Friday, Olanti and Precious drowned in Anam River on their way back from the set of Another Side of Life, a movie produced by Adanma Luke.

Speaking in a video shared on her Instagram page on Monday, Hilda Dokubo stated that Adnma should have provided life jackets for them and the crew should have insisted on getting a life jacket before embarking on the trip.

“All they needed to do to have given them fighting rights would have been to give them life jackets. As a producer who is expected to be prepared, you should have made arrangements for life jackets just in case the boat drivers didn’t have them.

“If the actors stood their ground and said ‘No we are not boarding until we have life jackets,’ somebody would be alive today if the producer made arrangements and ensured that there were life jackets, the story would be different,” Hilda said in parts.

Meanwhile, the makeup artist Abigail Frederick has been buried in her hometown in Ikot Udoma, Eket Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State.

The 24-year-old was buried on Monday.
