Jim Iyke receives chieftancy title

Actor James Ikechukwu, popularly known as Jim Iyke, has received a chieftaincy title in Ghana.

The actor was conferred with the title of, ‘Ohadike 1 of Ndigbo” by His Royal Highness, the Eze Ndigbo Ghana, Dr. Chukwudi Ihenetu on Sunday.

The coronation took place alongside the occasion of the tenth Yam Festival.

The organisers of the event said Jim Iyke’s “servitude and dedication to the Igbo tribe” earned him dignity.

“Also it is in recognition of his enormous contributions and charity work for his people. He was fully welcomed and appreciates the Igbo community in Ghana for the support rendered to him,” they said.

Jim Iyke began his acting career in 2001.

He launched his movie production company named Untamed Productions in 2007.

The actor also created his own music record label named Untamed Records.
