Jide Kosoko pays tribute to Muyideen Alade Aromire 14 years after death

Veteran actor Jide Kosoko has paid a short tribute to movie veteran Muyideen Aromire Alade on the latter’s 14 years death anniversary.

Jide posted Alade’s obituary poster on Instagram on Tuesday, saying that his contribution to the Nigerian film industry can never be forgotten.

He wrote: “Muyideen Alade omo Aromire..continue to rest in peace. Your contribution to the Nigeria Film industry can never never be forgotten. The fact that several practitioners are enjoying your legacy today is enough prayer for u to continue resting in peace.”

Alade died on Friday, July 4, 2008, in an auto crash along Lagos/Ibadan expressway.

He produced the first Yoruba film Ekun on VHS.

According to him, he borrowed N27,000 from his parents to produce his first movie. It was premiered at Super Cinema, Lagos in December 1984.
