Gospel singer Yinka Ayefele has stirred deep emotions online after sharing an AI-generated video of himself standing and dancing, an image that fans described as a symbol of faith and hope.
The video, which the singer posted on Instagram on Tuesday, showed a digitally-created version of Ayefele standing on his feet and dancing joyfully. He simply captioned the post: “In God I trust.”
This visual sparked a flood of emotional reactions and prayers in the comment section, with many fans expressing their faith that the image would one day become a reality.
One fan wrote: “001 we will be alive to see this happen.”
Another commented: “Amin Jesuu.”
“It is done 🔥🔥🔥,” someone added.
Another person affirmed: “Amen in Jesus Name… it is settled.”
One follower revealed: “I have a dream about this several times…..”
On December 12, 1997, Yinka’s life took a drastic turn when he was involved in a car accident on his way to Abeokuta, Ogun State. The crash, which occurred during a heavy downpour, caused severe spinal cord injuries that left him paralyzed from the waist down and confined to a wheelchair.
After initial treatment at a nearby hospital, Ayefele was transferred to the University College Hospital (UCH) in Ibadan, where he remained for nearly a year. Despite further treatment in the United Kingdom, he never regained the use of his legs.
In numerous interviews, the gospel singer has been open about the trauma he experienced, both physically and emotionally. He once revealed that doctors warned he would never regain sexual function, but he later defied those predictions and became a father. Ayefele is now married and has four sons.
The accident also served as the catalyst for his music career. During his long recovery, he was encouraged to turn to music, which led to the release of his debut album Bitter Experience in 1998.
The project, which documented his pain and survival, was widely successful and was followed by Sweet Experience, further solidifying his place in the Nigerian gospel scene.
Ayefele has since built an illustrious career in music and broadcasting. He is the founder of Fresh FM, a radio network with stations across southwestern Nigeria.
Despite his physical challenges, Ayefele continues to inspire many. He has described the date of the accident as his personal “thanksgiving day,” which he commemorates annually as a symbol of survival and faith.
