IK Ogbonna bags best actor award

Nollywood actor, IK Ogbonna, has revealed that he won the best actor award at the World Music and Independent Film Festival (WMIFF) in America.

WMIFF is an international film festival that takes place annually in Washington D.C. It was established in 2010 by actor, producer Master June Daguiso to celebrate and provide a platform of achievements for international cinema artists.

In a post to Instagram on Wednesday, IK Ogbonna celebrated his win while reminding his followers that he is going to win yet another at the AMVCA.

“Hey guys we keep winning. So I won BEST ACTOR at the American World Music and Independent film festival #worldmusicandindependentfilmfestival,” he wrote.

Actress Etomi Okaka and Kiki Omeli also received the best actress and best-supporting actress award respectively.

IK Ogbonna was also nominated for Africa Magic Viewers Choice Award (AMVCA), in the best actor in comedy category for his role in the movie Excess Luggage.

The 34-year-old has starred in movies such as Playing Safe, Love Lorn, Beach 24, A Wish, Oyoma, The Devil Lives Here, 5 Wives, Disguise, Pebbles of Love, How Not to Fall in Love and 30 Days in Atlanta.

IK Ogbonna is married to Sonia Morales, a top Colombian model and they are blessed with a son, Ace.
