Nollywood actress, Nkiru Umeh, has revealed how her son escaped death in the March 15 Abule-Ado pipeline explosion in which she lost her home and shopping complex.

The Egg Seller star revealed that her son would have suffered the same fate as her neighbours, who lost their lives in the explosion if she hadn’t stopped him from attending the first mass of the day as he had planned to.

She wrote, “On Saturday evening 14th of March, this boy came home from school, Then on that black Sunday 15th of March, he dressed up to attend the 1st mass

“But I have a rule in my house, no one goes to church late unless I didn’t see you leaving. So that Sunday, he didn’t wake up on time, mass was meant to be 6 am and he was about leaving at 6 am I stopped him and told him to wait and attend 8 am Mass

“He stayed back and left with us for 8 am mass. That was the miracle behind him not being in that house.

“If he attended the 6 am mass, he would have been back home just like my beautiful young couple neighbors that died…”

Ok let me share this testimony… Read up… On Saturday evening 14th of March, this boy came home from school, Then on that black Sunday 15th of March, he dressed up to attend the 1st mass, we usually attend one mass all together as a family but he wanted to attend the first mass that day and come home and sleep away all the school stress before we are back from the 2nd mass. But I have a rule in my house, no one goes to church late unless I didn’t see you leaving. You must be in the church at least 15-20mins before the mass starts. If you are late you stay back and wait for the next mass. So that Sunday, he didn’t wake up on time, mass was meant to be 6am and he was about leaving at 6am I stopped him and told him to wait and attend 8am with us because he didn’t dress up on time. He stayed back and left with us for 8am mass. That was the miracle behind him not being in that house. If he attended the 6am mass, he would have been back home just like my beautiful young couple neighbors that died. They attended 6am and back home not like they didn’t go to church but they died. We can’t question God. Emma and Chisom continue to rest in peace. Thank you Jesus for saving my son for me that day. To think he would have been home too🤦‍♀️ God I am grateful. To hell with properties biko. That will surely be replaced by God’s grace. Life is the ultimate. My testimony🙏 Rejoice with me. Once again happy birthday my son. Mama’s boy friend🥰
