How dealing with my mum’s death affected my marriage – Jim Iyke

Actor Jim Iyke has revealed how dealing with the death of his mother affected his marriage.

The actor disclosed this in a recent podcast with media personality Toke Makinwa and his colleagues Chidi Mokeme and Kate Henshaw.

The 46-year-old noted that a biracial relationship comes with so many parts, adding that “marriage will bring out the best and the worse in you.”

“I was dealing with two parallels I could not contain, I just lost my mum, I just needed somebody of African descent I could relate with,” he said.

He added that he did not properly grieve the death of his mother who was like a best friend to him and that affected his marriage.

Jim who is now divorced, said that his ex-wife suggested therapy but he declined and that caused a drift between them.
