Glo-sponsored Dance with Peter goes on air Saturday

Dance with PeterThe much anticipated Reality TV Show, Dance with Peter, sponsored by the telecommunications operator, Globacom, will from this weekend hit the airwaves as millions of viewers will begin to follow the sensational performances by contestants in the show on television.

Auditions held in five cities across Nigeria and Ghana: Abuja, Accra, Benin City, Lagos and Port Harcourt, where over 30 contestants were selected for the pulsating finals in Lagos.

In a statement announcing the commencement of the telecast, Globacom said the programme would be shown on Saturdays on Africa Magic Urban (Channel 153) from 7pm to 8pm and on Sundays on Africa independent Television (AIT) from 3pm to 4pm.

The first of the 13-episode show which is due for broadcast this weekend, the company added, would feature the highlights of the auditions held in Abuja and Accra.

With the programme going on air, Globacom has assured that entertainment lovers would be able to see all the exciting highlights of the fight by thousands of aspiring dancers to make the 30 finalists to compete for the fantastic prizes offered by the company.

Promising that the programme would be quite entertaining, Globacom said the episode parades incredible dancers as well as sheer comical characters that made the judges wonder aloud if they were aspiring dancers or just comedians who came to have fun. It added that viewers would also be able to follow the spirited fight by the three judges of the show to get the better of one another to get the best dancers in their teams.

“After the dancers sweated to impress the judges and be selected for the next stage of the auditions, the tables then turned with the selected dancers now choosing which of the judges they wanted to mentor them, particularly in instances where two or three judges indicate interest in mentoring a contestant. It is quite exciting watching the twist of fate with the judges wooing the contestants,” Globacom stated.

Dance with Peter judges are Peter Okoye of P-Square, dance instructor and choreographer, Don Flexx, and Guinness Book record holder for longest dance, Kafayat Shafau-Ameh, widely known as kaffy.

The best dancer will win a brand new Toyota RAV 4 sports utility vehicle, N3million cash prize and the rare opportunity of featuring in P-Square’s next music video. The first and second runners-up will also receive fantastic prizes. The first runner-up will receive a brand new Honda Civic car and N2million cash, while the third place winner will get a brand new Kia Rio car with N1million. Each of them will also have the chance to feature in a top Glo Ambassador’s music videos.
