Ahead of what promises to be a wedding to remember, Beat FM OAP, Tolu ‘Toolz’ Oniru and her husband-to-be, Tunde Demuren, hosted friends and colleagues to an engagement dinner on Wednesday in Lagos.
Among those present was fellow OAP, Gbemi Olateru-Olagbegi, who was attacked by Joro Olumofin in a series of vile messages posted on Instagram. earlier in the week.
Gbemi had called out Joro and his brother, Dokun, for being wedding crashers, insinuating that they did not have an invite to Toolz’s January 30 wedding and were desperate to attend.
Well, Gbemi was all smiles at the dinner which also had celebs like Banky W, Andrea Giaccaglia, Ebuka and Cynthia Obi-Uchendu, Dolapo Sijuwade, Paul Okoye, Kemi Adetiba, Hauwa Mukan, Agenes Marquis, Oreka Godis and Olamide in attendance.
Conspicuously missing were the Olumofin brothers who claimed to be childhood friends with Tunde Demuren.
Joro had earlier on Wednesday tendered an apology for using offensive words at Gbemi.
He wrote: “With reference to my recent outburst on Instagram, the feedback I got from my readers (largely women) is that my choice of a few words were offensive and very much unlike me. For this I apologize- I am sorry .I seize this opportunity to thank the numerous people from far and wide who via phone calls, emails and personal visits expressed their sympathy for the unwarranted assault on my person. Thank you all for your support, encouragement and pledge of allegiance for the future. God Bless.”
The wedding proper is expected to be attended by the crème de-la-crème of the society with Toolz being the daughter of HRM Oba Idowu Abiodun Oniru, and her pilot fiancé being the son of the ex-Director General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority.
All eyes will be on the lookout for Gbemi and the Olumofins at the event.
