Former governorship candidate of the Labour Party in Lagos State Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour has knocked comedian Seyi Law for claiming he was disrespectful to monarchs.

Mr Rhodes-Vivour on Tuesday shared a video on X of the funnyman saying that he (Rhodes-Vivour) threatened to make traditional rulers “go under the bridge” if he won the 2023 governorship election in Lagos.

The politician also posted a video of himself speaking prior to the election about restoring the authority of traditional rulers which he claimed was undermined by colonisers and adopted by subsequent governments.

At the event, Rhodes-Vivour said he would restore the “dignity of the ruling houses in Lagos State.”

According to him, the ruling houses were not happy with the All Progressives Congress (APC). He accused Babajide Sanwo-Olu of disrespecting traditional rulers by acting as a lord over them.

Captioning his post about Seyi Law, Rhodes-Vivour wrote, “Hear for yourself and decide whether to reward a party and their vile and dishonest supporters who spread falsehood, hate and bigotry. Or we can embrace a vision for Lagos where no one is left behind.”

Seyi Law has clashed with several persons including rapper Eedris Abdulkareem and entertainment entrepreneur Noble Igwe following his recent comments on a podcast.
