Frank Mba gets surprise from police officers on birthday

Police officers on Monday gave the Deputy Inspector-General of Police (in charge of the training department) DIG Frank Mba a surprise birthday present.

In a video posted on Instagram, Mba enters a room full of police officers cheering him on and singing the ‘Happy Birthday’ song.

The Nigeria Police Force celebrated him with the caption, “Today, we celebrate a seasoned officer, the Deputy Inspector-General of Police in charge of Training Department, DIG Frank Mba, who has dedicated his career to the service and safety of our great nation. His contributions, as a former Force Public Relations Officer, Ogun State Commissioner of Police, and his contributions as a member of the Force Management Team, representing the South Eastern region have been invaluable.

“May this new year bring you more success, good health, and happiness. Your commitment to duty and leadership inspire us all. Happy birthday DIG Frank Mba.”

Mba was in June 2023 elevated from his position as assistant inspector-general of police (AIGs) to DIG.

The graduate of the University of Lagos (UNILAG) also has a master’s degree in law from the University of Dundee, Scotland.

Mba is known as the longest-serving Force public relations officer (FPRO) in the history of the NPF.

He was the FPRO to former Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar between 2012 and 2014. He was also the FPRO during the administration of former IGP Mohammed Adamu from 2019 till when he proceeded to the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPPSS) in 2022.
