Former Dangote company secretary, Chioma Madubuko, dies at 68

Former company secretary and legal adviser of Dangote Sugar Refinery Plc, Chioma Madubuko, has died.

She died on Monday aged 68 at Reddington Hospital, Lagos after a prolonged battle with multiple sclerosis.

Madubuko resigned her position as company secretary of Dangote Sugar in January after 12 years.

She was an alumnus of the University of Ife now known as Obafemi Awolowo University where she also obtained a Master’s Degree in Business Administration.

Madubuko had over 35 years of experience spanning legal practice, banking, manufacturing and real estate.

Prior to joining Dangote Group, she served as secretary of NASCON Allied Industries Plc, Secretary of Lead Bank Plc, Member of International Federation of Women Lawyers, Member of Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and Member of Institute of Management Consultants of Nigeria.

Madubuko is survived by three children and grandchildren.
