FirstBank director Ebenezer Alufowose loses mum

Investment banker Ebenezer Olufowose

Non-executive director at First Bank of Nigeria Ltd Ebenezer Alufowose has lost his mum.

The investment banker said in a statement that his mum Felicia Olufowose died on Saturday at the age of 98.

In the statement signed on behalf of Olufowose and Obasooto families, Olufowose said his mother’s legacy of character and faith lives on.

Burial details would be announced later, the statement added.

Olufowose was appointed to the board of directors of FirstBank on April 29, 2021. He is the group managing director of First Ally Capital Limited, an investment banking firm based in Lagos.

Before joining the FirstBank board, he was executive director at Access Bank Plc, and Citibank Nigeria where he led Citigroup’s origination, structuring and execution of corporate finance and investment banking transactions in Nigeria. He started his banking career in 1985 at NAL Merchant Bank Plc (NAL) where he worked in the corporate planning and corporate finance departments.
