Fireboy’s ‘Peru’ remix has peaked at number one on the UK Apple Charts, beating American singer Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want for Christmas’ song.

A list shared on Twitter on Wednesday shows ‘Peru’ remix as the number one song with ‘All I Want for Christmas’ placing second, followed by Adele’s ‘Easy On Me’.

On December 24, the music star dropped the music video and audio of the remix which features British singer Ed Sheeran.

“OUT NOW worldwide! ‘peru’ x @teddysphotos prod. by @iamshizzi | big love to my amazing team and everyone who made this possible. this is history. let’s run it up!” he wrote on Instagram.

Sheeran had announced that he would be collaborating with Fireboy on the remix of the latter’s hit song ‘Peru’.

The Grammy Award winner made this known during an interview with Elton John on Apple Music’s Rocket Hour program, adding that he is obsessed with the song.

The song has received global recognition since the release and has continued to top the charts including UK Itunes, Spotify and Shazam.
