The Kogi-born actress, who reportedly underwent a surgery for fibroid in India, sent the message in an Instagram post by her brother, Isah Abubakar, on Monday.

“On behalf of our big sister, we want to thank everyone who called, commented and prayed for her. We all are grateful,” the message began.

It went on to describe the Kogi governor’s wife as the actress’ “mentor and guidance”.

Halima’s thank you message came a day after Tonto Dikeh posted a heart-breaking picture of her stricken colleague on Instagram.

Having recently gone through a crisis of her own in the form of a broken marriage, Tonto promised to take care of her friend, calling on others to pray for her too.

Halima had in the past criticised her colleagues who didn’t reach out to her when the news of her fibroid broke.

She also knocked those who speculated that she had cancer.

“If I have cancer, just the way I announced my fibroid, I would announce it. I would appreciate the non-factual information and speculation about my health to stop. Allow me heal in peace!’ she once wrote.
