Afrobeat king, Femi Kuti, has been discharged from the Lagoon Hospital in Lagos where he underwent surgery for an undisclosed ailment.
The ‘Mind Your Own Business’ singer will be recuperating at home under the care of his family for some weeks.
Funke, his ex-wife and mother of his son, Made, posted a video clip of Femi leaving the hospital on Instagram on Monday.
While she thanked everyone for their prayers, she also teased about having an exclusive video of the 53-year-old composing songs while he was on pain medications.
The management of the Afrika Shrine released a statement on Sunday cancelling the regular Sunday Jump headlined by the Grammy award nominee, and also announced that Femi was scheduled to undergo surgery and will not be able to perform for some weeks.
Yeni Kuti, his sister also shared picture of him on the hospital bed on Sunday, after the statement was released.
Femi holds a regular Sunday Jump with his Positive Force at the Afrika Shrine located in Ikeja, Lagos every week except when he is unavailable to do so.
