Fayose vows to remain indoor after testing negative for coronavirus

Ekiti Governor Ayodele Fayose

Former Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has revealed that he tested negative for the coronavirus.

Mr Fayose said on Wednesday that he took the test following perceived exposure in the last two weeks.

He, however, assured he would be staying indoor and encourage the public to do same.

“I took a Covid-19 test yesterday because of my percieved exposure in the last 2 weeks, I just got the result which is NEGATIVE,” he said.

“Notwithstanding, I will remain indoor like other Nigerians and I encourage more people to go for the test & remain at home in line with govt directive.”

Ekiti State Governor, Kayode Fayemi, has already placed the state on total lockdown and ordered closure of its borders to control the spread of COVID-19.

The state now has two confirmed cases of the disease, although the index case has been discharged following recovery.
