Fashola’s former commissioner, Femi Hamzat, loses mother

The death has occurred in Lagos of Alhaja Amudalat Kehinde Hamzat, aged 75 years.

Alhaja Amudalat was the mother of Dr Obafemi Hamzat, the Commissioner for Works during the Babatunde Fashola administration in Lagos State.

Dr Hamzat is currently Special Adviser, Roads to Fashola in the latter’s capacity as Minister of Power, Works and Housing.

Her children also include Hon. Ganiyu Hamzat, Oyindamola Bisi, Latifat Soyemi, Idris Hamzat, Yunus Hamzat and Usman Hamzat.

According to the Hamzat Family, her remains will be buried at 2pm on Sunday at the Atan Cemetery (Ebony Millennium) according to Muslim rites.

She is survived by her husband, the All Progressives Congress (APC) chieftain, HRH Oba Mufutau Hamzat; children and grandchildren.
