Fans criticise UEFA for Mkhitaryan’s omission from Europa League final squad

Football fans are criticising European football’s authority, UEFA, for the omission of forward, Henrikh Mkhitaryan, from the squad of the Europa League final in Azerbaijan.

Arsenal announced on Tuesday that the 30-year-old star will miss the final of the Europa League in Baku due to safety concerns for him.

The decision was taken because of political tensions between host country and Mkhitaryan’s native country over the Nagorno-Karabakh region.

Fans are slamming UEFA for the decision to play the final in the faraway Eastern Europe state.
