Family, friends gather for Bob-Oseni’s 50th posthumous birthday

Family and friends of the late US-based real estate dealer Wale Bob-Oseni gathered on Tuesday to offer prayers for his soul on his 50th posthumous birthday.

Mr Bob-Oseni died in the 21-storey building which collapsed on Gerrard Road in the Ikoyi area of Lagos on November 1.

A service of songs will be held in his honour on November 26 at Command Day Secondary School auditorium, Ikeja military cantonment, Maryland, Lagos.

Bob-Oseni’s body was recovered on November 4 after that of his friend Femi Osibona, the developer of the building, was pulled out.

The real estate dealer was on his way to the airport en route the United States on that fateful day when he got a call from Mr Osibona to check out the high-rise building.

Both friends were subsequently trapped when the building collapsed.

Bob-Oseni was also the corporate affairs manager of First Premiere Mortgage, and executive director of African Bureau for Legislative Empowerment, according to his LinkedIn profile.
