About-to-wed Onyinye Enekwe ends up in Ikoyi rubble one week after joining Fourscore Homes

Onyinye Enekwe trapped in Ikoyi building collapse

Onyinye Enekwe, a new employee at the real estate company Fourscore Homes owned by Femi Osibona, is still missing 48 hours after a 21-storey building collapsed in Ikoyi area of Lagos.

Ms Enekwe, who is reportedly set to wed in December, was employed as second personal assistant to Mr Osibona, according to her cousin Chinedu Enekwe.

“She left her elder sister’s house around 6am for work on that day,” Chinedu told TheCable.

The 26-year-old graduate of Nnamdi Azikiwe University only joined Fourscore Homes one week before the building collapsed.

Her family is worried as nothing has been heard from her since Monday.

Chinedu added that Onyinye had taken a picture of herself at the site, which she sent to her older sister just as she arrived at work on Monday morning.

“We’re hopeful. We believe she will be found. We are in prayers for her to be found,” he said.

Emergency responders have so far rescued nine persons from the rubble while 22 others have been pulled out dead.
