Evelyn Joshua introduces prayer line session at Synagogue

Leader of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) Evelyn Joshua on Sunday, December 12 introduced prayer line session at the church.

“Here is The Synagogue—as it was then, so it is now,” she said, introducing the session. “This is time for deliverance for those who are afflicted; there is no disease He cannot cure…. His name is Jesus Christ. The bank of miracles in in Heaven; it never ends. Remember you have a role to play; believing– that is your connection.”

Pastor Evelyn, as she is now called, prayed for the congregation with the church’s new anointing water.

“Diverse ailments vanish from the people’s bodies as Pastor Evelyn Joshua ministers the New Anointing Water on them in the mighty name of Jesus Christ!” A post on the church’s Facebook page read.

It was the second Sunday Evelyn was chairing after the church reopened for in-person meeting on December 5 for the thanksgiving and reunion service. The church had been closed for nearly two years by its late founder Prophet TB Joshua due to Covid-19.

Evelyn gave a sermon titled ‘My Own Part As a Christian,’ reading John 11:17-22.

She said, “As people of grace you must know there are two dimensions to life, just as there are two sides to a coin.

“What are your needs? What do you need as a Christian? The Bible says, ‘Seek ye first the Kingdom of Heaven and all other things will be added to you’. Seeking first God’s Kingdom and His righteousness gives you all you need. As a Christian, you must understand that your duty is to obey God’s command.

“Obeying God at first seems difficult until we realise that all He wants from us is for our good.”

Evelyn further told the congregation that they have roles to play if they must receive anything from God.

“He cannot do for you what you must do for yourself. When you play your role He will meet you at the point of your need,” she said.
