#EndSARS: Beyonce ignores Tiwa Savage, promotes sneakers

American singer Beyoncé has ignored singer Tiwa Savage who called on her to lend her voice to the #EndSARS campaign in Nigeria.

Tiwa had in a live Instagram video on October 15 asked Beyoncé to speak on the issue.

“I want to use my platform to call on Beyoncé and her whole team to use their voice and platform because the same country that birth this genre is on fire right now,” Tiwa said.

Beyoncé, a mother of three, who was last seen on Instagram on October 1 returned to the photo-sharing platform on Monday.

The multiple award-winning singer posted a picture announcing the date of release of her sneaker collaboration with Adidas.

“DRIP 2 October 30,” she wrote.

The second collection of Beyoncé’s Ivy Park and Adidas sneaker collaboration will be released on October 30 which will include a neck-breaking colourway of the Adidas Ultra Boost.

The first collection was launched on January 18, 2020.

Observers will be looking to see if American media personality Kim Kardashian and her sister Kylie Jenner will lend their voices to the #EndSARS campaign following Toke Makinwa’s plea.
