Empress Njamah’s alleged blackmailer ‘arrested’ in Liberia

George Wade, ex-lover of actress Empress Njamah, has reportedly been arrested in Liberia.

The lovers made headlines last year after Empress accused Wade of trying to blackmail her with her nudes in his possession.

Wade allegedly made good on his threat and released the actress’s nude photos and videos, promising that he would be releasing her unclad videos and pictures every day.

In February, Empress said she had recovered her Instagram account from her blackmailer who allegedly defrauded some of her fans by claiming she was hospitalised and needed funds. She added that the scammer has been reported to the appropriate authorities who are on the lookout for him.

Giving an update on Wade, Empress posted a video on InstaStories on Monday of him being led in handcuffs by people believed to be security operatives.

“Our God is not asleep. @empressnjamah’s blackmailer finally caught in Liberia,” her post read.

In the video, Wade, a Liberian, is seen covering his face from cameras. He was, however, full of smiles while being interrogated in a dimly lit room.

When the nudes were released, Empress, 42, explained that Wade gained access into her life when she was vulnerable from the death of her close friend Ada Ameh, an actress, and he took advantage of her vulnerability to allegedly dupe and blackmail her.

She admitted that Wade had an intimate video of her but noted that he is the one in the video with her, not another man as he claimed.

Empress said he filmed it in her house without her knowledge but hid his face.

The actress claimed Wade also blackmailed other Nigerian women he perceived as wealthy.
