Eko Hotel honours Ngozi Kekwaru for returning $70,000 misplaced by customer

The management of Eko Hotel and Suites, Victoria Island, Lagos has honoured a member of its staff Ngozi Kekwaru for returning $70,000 misplaced by a customer in one of the suites.

Kekwaru is a native of Rundele community in Emuoha Local Government Area (LGA) of Rivers State.

She was honoured with an award of excellence by the hotel’s Management on July 27.

The Emohua LGA chairman Chidi Lloyd has also approved her appointment as brand ambassador of the local government.

The chairman will on Thursday, August 3, 2023 formally unveil her as the LGA’s brand ambassador.

Earlier, presidential candidate of the Labour Party in the 2023 poll Peter Obi said that Kekwaru deserves national honour.

“When will Nigeria start celebrating the likes of Miss Ngozi Mary for her honesty and integrity, Teacher Akeem Badru, for winning the 2023 Cambridge Dedicated Teacher Award, and many others like them?

“These are the people who deserve to be given national honours and awards and recognition, instead of celebrating those who have impacted our nation negatively. In the New Nigeria that we desire, these are the kind of people that will be celebrated. A New Nigeria is POssible,” he wrote on social media.

Singer Davido has already given her some money as reward.
