Eight arrested over murder of Abuja woman

Police in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) have arrested eight persons suspected to be connected to the death of a woman, Esther Okah.

Okah was heading home on Sunday after partying with friends at Gwarimpa when she was stabbed at CBN junction, Ungwan Cement, Karimo.

In a statement on Thursday by the deputy spokesman of the Command, Danjuma Gajere, police said the suspects were cooperating and helping in unraveling the killers.

Mr Gajere also said they would be arraigned in court at the end of investigation.

According to him, the FCT police commissioner, Adamu Ciroma, had reassured the public of the Command’s commitment to checkmating crime.
