Musician-turned-actress Ego Ihenacho has tackled Mide Kuti, a character played by her onscreen son Lanre Adediwura in the Showmax series Wura.

Wura season two premiered exclusively on Showmax on December 4, with four new episodes set to drop every week from Monday to Thursday.

The family drama follows the lives of different families bonded and divided by the discovery of gold in Iperindo, a small community in Osun State, where the story is set.

On Thursday, Lanre who plays Mide aka Cobra on the show, shared a post via X saying that he cannot wait for his mum Iyabo Kuti (played by Ego) to come home.

“Can Maami just return to Ikire already? She is choking me in the house already. How can I share my couch with Fola, a criminal,” he wrote.

Reacting to the post, Ego who plays the role of a disciplinarian scolded Lanre’s character and questioned why he still lives with her.

“Are you not old enough to get your own house eh?” She asked.
