Singer, Eedris Adbulkareem, has released a refurbished version of his hit single ‘Jaga Jaga’.

The second version of the song comes 16 years after the first was released.

Eedris announced the release of his song on Monday. However, on Wednesday he claimed that some radio stations are wary of promoting the song to protect their interests.

“I would like to thank all the music site and individuals who share bd promtoted this song on there site nd wall you all are patriots . Dont forget that some radio station would not promote it cos they are trying to protect there bizness and interest with the goverment which is understandable.

“We also try to promote it on Instagram but was not approved and there excuses is that the government of Nigeria and its policy declined the song. However, the song is getting all the attention it deserved . TRUTH shall prevail. If u haven’t download jagajaga 2 pls download via my bio. Thanks,” he wrote.

The song caused a stir when it was first released in 2003 during President Olusegun Obasanjo’s administration.

The singer, in the new version, addresses Biafra’s secession threat, Niger Delta militant activities, Boko Haram insurgency, poverty and other challenges facing the country.

He also inquires of those the first lady, Aisha Buhari, refers to as cabal who have taken over her husband’s government.

The singer also takes a swipe at some Nigerian musicians who he says pose as Fela Anikulapo-Kuti but are not bold to speak up like the late Afro-beat legend.
