Actor Richard Oguntimehin, widely known as Don Richard, has dismissed rumours claiming he had died.
Richard addressed the speculation in a message on Friday, where he also thanked supporters who stood by him during a difficult period.
“I will never forget the people who came with a lamp when I was in the dark not to fix me, but to sit with me until I could see again,” he said.
He added, “I am alive, nothing do the son of God. God is at work,” he said.
In another post, he shared a video of himself dancing, while he captioned the post, “My fans nd friends i really appreciate you all
You all will not fall,i dey alive ooo, the bloggers should continue there bad posting,God will judge them amen.”
Actress Lola Alao also shared a video debunking the report and questioning why people are wicked. She captioned the post, “Done Richard is Alive oooo @donricharddonking”
The clarification comes after false reports of his death circulated on social media, sparking concern among fans and colleagues in the film industry.
Recall that the actor opened up about his health challenges in 2025, when he revealed that he suffered a sudden spinal injury that led to the discovery of an enlarged bladder and kidney complications.
He said he began to experience severe pain and went for medical tests which he had enlarged bladder and serious kidney issues, requiring urgent dialysis. He also spoke about the emotional and financial strain of the condition, noting that it affected his daily life and required ongoing treatment.
