A former Speaker of the House of Representatives Dimeji Bankole on Friday tied the knot with Aisha Saidu daughter of Kebbi State Governor Atiku Bagudu.
The colourful ceremony had friends and family in attendance. Photos from the wedding have gone viral on social media.
Singers Timi Dakolo, Joeboy and Laycon thrilled guests at the ceremony.
Bagudu’s daughter is a lawyer and graduate of the University of Hull, United Kingdom.
The bride’s mother is the sister to the former Zamfara State governor Aliyu Shinkafi.
At the introduction ceremony, Sokoto State Governor and Bankole’s successor as House Speaker Aminu Tambuwal led the groom’s family to the bride’s family to seek her hand in marriage.
Bankole divorced his first wife in 2017.
