I didn’t choose to be a successful entertainer – Stella Damasus

Nigerian actress and singer, Stella Damasus, has been counting the cost of success, declaring that she didn’t choose to become a successful entertainer.

In an Instagram post on Wednesday, the 38-year-old identified some of the prices people pay for success, but said the sacrifice is worth it.

“A lot of people may not identify with this and may never understand. They may never know why some entertainers act the way they do,” she wrote

“Some might say ‘who forced you to become a successful entertainer?’ What they don’t realize is that for some of us we didn’t choose this path, it chose us.”

The actress then goes spiritual, adding: “The Bible says that God will bless who he chooses to bless and he will have mercy on who he chooses to have mercy on.”

She concluded by encouraging her colleagues in the limelight that “You are not alone. Stand strong and don’t give up.”

Just had to repost this. A lot of people may not identify with this and may never understand. They may never know why some entertainers act the way they do. They call us names without understanding what comes with the position. The few who understand are those that will stand with you through thick and thing. Some might say “who forced you to become a successful entertainer?” What they don’t realize is that for some of us we didn’t choose this path, it chose us. The Bible says that God will bless who he chooses to bless and he will have mercy on who he chooses to have mercy on. I just want to encourage every person who is in the lime light, you are not alone. Stand strong and don’t give up. #strength #courage #wisdom #motivation #stelladamasus #atl #entertainer #success #usa #anafricangirlabroad #soldierinredlipstick
