Actor Deyemi Okanlawon has made a joke about Ooni of Ife Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi marrying another wife, Princess Aderonke Ademiluyi in Ile-Ife, Osun State, on Thursday.

Princess Aderonke is now the fifth woman to be married to the first-class monarch in quick succession.

She was born to a scion of the royal family. She is the great-granddaughter of late Ooni Ajagun Ademiluyi.

Speaking about their marriage in the comment section of a blog post about why Aderonke married the Ooni, Deyemi playfully wrote: “Hmmm…maybe the position is like an appointment? Like when you give someone an honorary title…honorary doctor is different from Ph.D.?”

Joining in the conversation, Sunmbo Adeoye, mother of singer 2baba’s first son added: “Honorary Olori of Ife? I dey try reason am. Ko plumb.”

On September 8, another movie star Bimpe Akintunde joked about becoming the next wife of the Ooni after the latter’s marriage to Queen Mariam Ogunwusi.

While news of the marriage circulated on the internet, a blogger Kemi Ashefon claimed that another woman, Omo Oba Adegoke, Aya Adimula Ashely Afolashade will also be welcomed as a wife to the Ooni in a few hours.

Reacting in the comment section of the post on Instagram, Bimpe Akintunde prayed that the new woman will be welcomed quickly so that she can welcome her in return as the next wife to the Ooni.

“Make Olori Ashley enter quick, make she welcome me Olori Adebimpe to the palace tomorrow, Emilokan o,” the Yoruba actress wrote with dancing emojis.
