Davido dedicates AFRIMMA awards to Tagbo and DJ Olu

Bereaved singer, Davido, has dedicated the two awards he won at the 2017 African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) to his deceased friends Tagbo and DJ Olu.

The award ceremony took place at the House of Blues, Dallas, Texas, USA on Sunday, a day after Olu was found dead in his car in Lagos.

Tagbo reportedly died on Tuesday after hanging out with Davido, leading actress, Caroline Danjuma, to accuse the singer of complicity in his friend’s death.

Some consolation came the troubled singer’s way at AFRIMMA as he won the biggest prize of the night, taking home both the Artist of the Year award and the Song of the Year Award for ‘If’.

He promptly dedicated both to his fallen friends.

Posting the picture of both awards on Instagram, he wrote: “One for Olu, One for Tagbo”.

Other winners at AFRIMMA 2017 include Tiwa Savage, who won the Best Female West Africa, while Falz won in the Best Male West Africa category.
