Afrobeats star Davido has celebrated his wife Chioma Adeleke on her 30th birthday with a touching tribute and intimate gathering shared across social media.
The 32-year-old, who is expected to hold his white wedding with Chioma in August, posted a video on Wednesday showing her seated before a fruit-decorated cake, surrounded by close friends.
The moment captured cheers and a birthday song as Chioma made a wish and blew out her candles.
In the clip, a friend encouraged her to make a wish “deep inside your soul,” while Davido followed with a toast in her honour.
Davido’s hype man, Special Spesh, who was present at the celebration, revealed this was the first time the ‘5IVE’ hitmaker had personally organised such a heartfelt surprise for someone.
During his speech, the Grammy nominee paid glowing tribute to Chioma, likening her selflessness and strength to that of his late mother, Veronica Adeleke.
He also praised her for showing equal love to all his children, regardless of their mothers and described her as someone who ensures no one ever leaves their home hungry.
