Singer David Adeleke Popularly known as Davido has called for prayers for Nigeria.

The 28-year-old shared a photo of the Nigerian flag on Instagram on Thursday with the caption “Pray for Nigeria.”

This comes after the protest at Lekki Toll Gate on Wednesday to mark the first anniversary of #EndSARS protest in October 2020.

In a recent interview with South African TV host Trevor Noah, Davido disclosed that he got into trouble for supporting the #EndSARS protest after his hit song ‘Fem’ became an anthem for the protest.

” I did not record the song thinking the protest was going to happen, I got into a lot of trouble. I had to actually leave the country. It was that bad.

“I was reposting everything that had to do with the campaign. It was amazing to see people come out like that. And I will say this: They listened to us. They heard us. They might not have changed anything but they were shaken,” he said.
