Pop star Davido has arrived in Qatar where he will be performing at the 2022 World Cup closing ceremony.

FIFA agent Bernard Collignon annouced the singer’s arrival in an Instagram post on Thursday night with a video of himself, Davido and Ghanaian singer Stonebwoy having fun at an event.

In the video, a happy Davido could be seen dancing with his friends with a glass of wine.

Captioning the video, Bernard Collignon wrote: “10 years we never go down, thank to God. Family united.”

Davido’s performance at the World Cup was confirmed by Hong Kong businessman Stephen Hung who shared the goodnews via a post on his Instagram page on Thursday, December 8.

Sharing a picture of the singer, he wrote, “So happy my bro @davido confirmed he will perform at the World Cup Qatar closing ceremony. Can’t wait to see him there.”

The ‘Aye’ singer was supposed to perform at the opening ceremony but could not make it due to the shocking death of his son, Ifeanyi Adeleke.

The 30-year-old, who collaborated with fellow artistes Trinidad Cardona and Aisha on the World Cup soundtrack ‘Better Together’, will be performing at the closing of the tournament on December 18.
