Daughter of the former Iyaloja of Ibadanland, late Aminat Abiodun, has been shot dead at her house in Bashorun area of Ibadan, Oyo State.
The gunmen, it was gathered, did not take anything from Fatimah’s house after the shooting on Wednesday.
“Our sister, the daughter of the late Iyaloja Abiodun, was assassinated in Basorun, Bodija area of Ibadan,” a family source told journalists on the condition of anonymity.
“It was an unprovoked attack in her house, given that Fatimah was a peace-loving person.”
“Information I have, revealed that she was shot several times by the gunmen. This is a big loss to the family,” the source added.
Oyo police spokesperson Adewale Osifeso confirmed the incident, saying an update would be provided on it.
